Hearts, minds and Fallujah

Article Abstract:

The battle for Fallujah will either mark a decisive blow against insurgency in the Iraqi cities paving the way for elections in January 2005, or it will prove that the insurgency was much larger, more widespread and resilient than imagined. The situation in Fallujah and the consequences of the military operations are discussed.

The politics of winning wars: critics carp at Bush for politicizing the war on terror. Tell that to FDR, Churchill and Lincoln

Critics of American military policy in the war in Afghanistan are driven by the lack of immediate success and the slow speed with which bombing is taking place. Critics also believe that the coalition-building of Bush administration officials is hampering a decisive victory. Reasons why the critics are misguided are discussed.

Let Iraq wait. Finish Al Qaeda

With the war against Al-Qaeda still ongoing, the United States is debating going after Al Qaeda. The author asserts that Saddam Hussein is not going anywhere and that the United States should rein in global terrorism and finish the job with Al Qaeda.
