Intervention fidelity

Article Abstract:

The technology model of intervention fidelity as it applies to psychological interventions, is described and its applications in the nursing intervention research are proposed as a way to support accurate conclusions about validity. The Technology Model and the associated methodologies used to monitor psychosocial intervention fidelity in psychiatry can be adapted and applied by nursing.

Girls on the move program to increase physical activity participation

Article Abstract:

The feasibility of an individually tailored physical activity (PA) intervention for adolescent girls and nurse counseling, in increasing PA is determined. Results show that despite encouraging feedback from the girls, no significant differences between the intervention and control groups on any PA measures emerged.

Predictors of nurses' acceptance of an intravenous catheter safety device

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to evaluate the nurses' acceptance and use of Protectiv[R] Plus IV catheter safety needle device at a teaching hospital in Texas. The result from the study reveals that the nurses used the device for at least 6 months, and they like to use the device regarding the safety matters.
