Two professors think that sexual harassment is a problem for men as well as women because researchers tend to focus on women and not include male victims. Furthermore, men do not consider crude jokes or sexual innuendoes a form of harassment. An attorney in Los Angeles says that 98% of sexual harassment victims seeking legal assistance from her were women. She believes that the film 'Disclosure' was not about sexual harassment, but about an unusual sexual confrontation between a woman boss and a male worker, which subverts the real issue.

Some believe that these solutions have proven to be insufficient in deterring similar acts in the future.
