Jeans donors give the gift of Levi's in ads for Super Bowl

Article Abstract:

Levi's will unveil a humorous three-part TV ad called the 'Jeans Donor' during the Super Bowl series on Jan 28, 2000. The TV spots are a spoof of the donor process by showing to what lengths people will go for just for a pair of previously-worn Levi's jeans. The ads come after Levi's launched the loose-fitting worn-looking 569 jeans for men. Struggling Levi's, the world's biggest maker of jeans, is hoping that the ad would appeal to TV viewers. Its revenues for 3rd qtr 2000, was down by 8%, to $1.1 billion.
