Internet service provider learns from its mistakes

Article Abstract:

America Online Inc (AOL) has learned early that it cannot change media on its own. This lesson, which the company learned from having failed with its Entertainment Asylum venture in Oct 1997, is the reason behind its purchase of Time Warner. AOL's setback with Entertainment Asylum taught the company, which has always had problems in creating original content, that buying entertainment content is better than actually generating it.

Nasdaq rally rides along thin rails

Article Abstract:

Technology stock prices continued their increase with the Nasdaq composite reaching 3700 for the first time, increasing by 93.11 points to 3715.06. Analysts are saying that some of the stocks are overvalued but investors seem unconcerned. Analysis of the increase in the Nasdaq 100 indicates that investors are unloading their losing stocks and buying stocks that are winners. One analyst opined that if speculative behavior continues to surge, the forthcoming bear market would be one of the most devastating in history.
