The Sydney Football Club (FC) of the new Hyundai A-League has succeeded in making a name in the international market after it won the inaugural Australian Club Championship. Sydney FC's CEO Andy Harper's claims that his next biggest challenge is to ensure that Sydney FC and the new league wins as a corporate entity for it booked a place in the World Club Championship Tokyo in December 2005.
