Keeping secrets: companies feud over the ownership of ideas

Many legal disputes have arisen over whether an individual or a corporation owns intellectual property such as patents and trade secrets. Some firms require their employees to sign nondisclosure and waiver agreements. High technology firms are particularly prone to these disputes.
