Bob Carr is a candidate for federal labor in Canberra, Australia who has economic credibility due to the fiscal rectitude, and also has credibility in security issues and foreign policy. It is further observed that his tough line on security and law and order at a state level rivals the strength of John Howard's stance federally and is predicted that he would bring with him an experienced and politically savvy staff.
