Kodak store sets U.S. standards in Russian city

Genesee-Volkhov Connection's Kodak Express outlet in Novgorod, Russia, is creating new standards in retailing in this Russian industrial city by featuring attractive and clean ambiance, employing polite clerks and having a customer-friendly policy. The firm, which is among the few US companies registered in the Novgorod region, is presently exerting effort to expand into school photography, effect sales training programs and emphasize client service.

U.S. investors ride Russian Subway

Article Abstract:

Subway Sandwich, undeterred by a violence-marred introduction in Russia, has opened another location in that country. Partners David Worrell and James Gansinger said they lost their $1 million investment to their Russian partner in their first location in St Petersurg. The Americans, however, are leaving all that has happened in their past, and have opened a second location in the more secure Bauman Institute in Moscow.

Russian banks having trouble with with transfers

Article Abstract:

Russian banks have been encountering problems in transferring payments abroad amidst investigations into money laundering. Until now, wire transfers of money through correspondent banking relationships have proceedd in Russia without a hitch. But with the investigations, many Russian banks are finding their transactions returned for further documentation or refused altogether.
