Medtronic to Pay $1.35 Billion to Inventor

The medical device maker Medtronic has settled patent litigation with inventor Dr. Gary K. Michelson and his company Karlin Technology by agreeing to pay $1.35 billion in exchange for settling the lawsuit, acquiring the patents, and owning the rights to future inventions.
