Miners lay out welcome mat for bats

Abandoned mines in British Columbia and Ontario, Canada are being outfitted by mining companies to serve as homes for bats. The North American Bat and Mines project, which is an alternative to sealing off the abandoned mines, has received the endorsement of Bat Conservation International.
