Nicotine rush: Western tobacco firms thrive in Russia

Western cigarette manufacturers are increasing their marketing and distribution in Russia in hopes of convincing consumers to buy their cigarettes. There are about 80 million smokers in Russia, making it the third-largest market in the world. Western cigarettes have become a status symbol.
