Northwest has trouble finding newest airfares

Article Abstract:

Northwest Airlines Inc's discount fares for business travellers may save 40% off full-coach ticket prices but they can be confusing to book on the Internet and may not always represent the best deal. USA Today publication investigated the airline's new BizFlex fare on its Internet World Wide Web site. The newspaper selected a certain departure and destination point, and was provided with a choice of six round-trip itineraries, none of which specified which was the BizFlex fare.

Canceled flight could cost miles

Article Abstract:

A survey of major US airlines' frequent-flier programs reveals hat most do not automatically provide mileage credit to a passenger whose canceled flight is rebooked on another carrier. Some programs award miles only if a rebooked passenger remembers to submit paperwork after a flight. Other programs award no miles for a flight rebooked on a different airline. American Airlines is the only airlines which stipulates aht no miles will be given for another carrier's flight.

Frequent-flier miles cards carry caveat

Article Abstract:

Credit cards that reward cardholders with frequent-flier miles are increasingly becoming popular with consumers. Not all cards, however, are the same and not all consumers can derive maximum benefit from a single card. Choosing the best card will depend on a number of considerations, including how big is the credit line and whether the consumer can or is willing to pay the full balance each month.
