OSC says Sorbara wasn't muzzled

Article Abstract:

The Ontario Securities Commission announced that Royal Group Technologies Ltd is under investigation by securities regulators, the RCMP and federal tax officials. The OSC stated that there was nothing to stop Ontario Finance Minister Greg Sorbara from telling the Premier about an investigation into Royal Group Technologies Ltd disputing his claims that securities laws forced him to remain silent on a probe that had the potential to implicate.

The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) told Ontario Finance Minister Greg Sorbora 's staff about the investigation into Royal Group Technologies Ltd., a probe that could involve Sorbara. Sorbara has temporarily passed responsibility for the OSC to another minister to eliminate the perception of a conflict of interest.
