Fund firms under a microscope

The Ontario Securities Commission has launched one of its largest investigations of pension and mutual funds firms. The OSC, which has demanded huge quantities of records from fund companies, has targeted at least 20 fund companies in Ontario.

New fund rules said far off

The Ontario Securities Commission will require mutual funds to have independent boards of directors. The OSC, which will implement the new rules in about two years, has released a new report on the issue.
