One woman's story - a continuing nightmare

Article Abstract:

The idea that the most effective solution for a battered woman is to leave her abuser is not always effective. The case of a Connecticutabuse victim is an example of the ineffectivity of such a solution. The woman in question left her boyfriend after numerous incidents of physical and verbal abuse. The said boyfriend merely followed the victim and threatened her with renewed violence and even death. The incident has resulted in severe psychological problems for the woman's daughter.
