'Self-destruct' e-mail offers virtual privacy

Article Abstract:

Disappearing Inc of San Francisco, CA, is offering an e-mail service that allows users to destroy their e-mail messages. Until now, e-mail messages are stored in personal computers through which the messages have passed. This means that deleting e-mail in the PCs of both sender and receiver was no guarantee that there were no trace left of the message. With the new service, users can choose to have their e-mail exist in the Internet for as short or long as they want.
