Pearson operator plans 18% increase in landing fees: Move heightens pressure on airlines

Article Abstract:

The Greater Toronto Airports Authority, the operator of Pearson International Airport in Toronto, is planning to raise landing fees by 18 percent in 2005. The move would put further financial pressure on domestic airlines and provide foreign carriers with more incentive to reduce services to Toronto.

Acquisitive CGI raises $125-million

CGI Group Inc. has raised $125-million in a "so-called bought deal" with a syndicate of investment dealers led by TD Securities Inc. and CIBC World Markets Inc. The agreement calls for the acquisition of 11.1 million class A subordinate CGI shares at $11.25 each.
