Article Abstract:

Bicycling has become very popular in Canada. It is estimated that in 1992, 5.7 million adult Canadians rode their bicycle at least once a week. Bicycles are used for fitness, commuting and recreational activities. Urban areas are starting to construct more bike lanes and safety regulations.

The war on fat: despite the lure of fast food, nutritionists say they have seen the future - and it is low-fat

Article Abstract:

There is abundant evidence that a high-fat diet contributes to heart disease, cancer and other diseases. Nutritionists advise people to consume no more than 30% of calories from fat, but cutting back on fat is often difficult. Tips on how to alter diet and exercise habits are given.
