Placer Dome CEO to retire

Article Abstract:

Placer Dome Inc CEO John Wilson will retire in early 2000. He will be replaced by 53-year-old Jay Taylor, an executive vice president of North American operations who will also immediately become president of the third-biggest gold miner in North America. Taylor will take the title of CEO after Placer Dome's next annual meeting on Apr 20, 2000. Wilson said he will focus his attention on being chairman of the London, UK-based World Golf Council.
