Hong Kong agrees to invest $3.2 billion to lure Disney

Article Abstract:

Walt Disney Co Disneyland is set to develop its fifth amusement park, this time in Hong Kong, after the Hong Kong government agreed to invest over $3.2 billion for the project. The government believes that the facility could contribute $19 billion to Hong Kong's economy within 40 years. Disney, in the meantime, will benefit from minimal investment in building its presence in Asia. However, some are skeptical about the 310-acre project's ability to generate strong tourist attendance and about the government's involvement.
