Rail rivals team up in Vancouver as China trade boom hits port

Article Abstract:

Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd. (CPR) and Canadian National Railway Co. (CN) are combining their key operations in the Vancouver area to relieve West Coast port congestion, which is the result of an increase in imported goods from China. Under the co-production initiative, CPR and CN would share some of their tracks, aiming to make their respective networks more efficient to handle increased freight at the Port of Vancouver.
