Rebellion: dissidents challenge the ruling party in Japan's July election

Japanese Prime Minister Kiichi Miyazawa and his Liberal Democratic Party are losing public support following Miyazawa's refusal to enact campaign finance reform. The parliament issued a vote of no-confidence and the newly formed Shinseito Party will challenge him in the Jul 1993 election.
