Rogers to pay out dividend

Toronto, Ont.-based Rogers Communications Inc., which is a leading cable television company, has announced it will pay a regular dividend to its shareholders. Rogers, which is led by president and chief executive officer Ted Rogers, will pay a dividend of 5 cents per share.

Rogers Communications shares fall 11%

Toronto, Ont.-based Rogers Communications Inc., which has reported declining share value, has been experiencing problems with its new high-speed Internet access services. Rogers also is facing stronger competition from rival Bell Mobility.

Due to a fee dispute CHUM Ltd.'s Star TV and Canadian Learning Channel cable television channels are still unavailable to many subscribers of Rogers Communications Inc.'s cable service.
