Rust never sleeps

Article Abstract:

Len Rust is one of the most recognizable and respected figures in the Australian information services industry. He has worked with New Zealand Posts and Telegraphs, General Electric, Compunet, International Data Corporation (IDC), and his own marketing advisory company, Dialog. The industry supported him when IDC fired him in 1998, negotiating a deal where his position would be phased out over six months.

Australia's Travel.World.Net is a World Wide Web site that serves the travel industry and individual travellers. It allows for transactions among airlines, hotels, travel agents, tour companies, and individual consumers. Company founder Jamie Norriss and technical director Ernst van Oeveren believe the company can maintain its global presence while remaining in Australia.

Economic crisis in Asia has forced South Korea to reform its economic policies with regard to foreign investment. Issues concerning the benefits to Australian investors are detailed and include deregulation of previously protected markets, more efficient investment approval process, and ability to acquire Korean financial institutions.
