Small is beautiful; Federal candidates court small business

Article Abstract:

The Canadian Liberal Party unveiled a plan designed to make it easier for small businesses to obtain credit. Business owners say banks are reluctant to approve loans to small businesses, especially those that are service-based. Banks say the issue has been exaggerated.

Article Abstract:

Bob Blair and Bernard Isautier, former CEOs of Nova Corporation of Alberta, and Polysar Energy & Chemical Corp. respectively are both living in Calgary again. In Jun 1988, Blair waged a successful corporate takeover of Polysar which Isautier tried to block.
