Pets.com has developed and successfully launched an advertising campaign puppet character which has taken a life of its own and become a popular figure across the USA. The puppet was designed to build the Pets.com brand and appears to have become a pop culture icon, as demonstrated by its fifth-place finish among USA Today publication's Ad Meter survey of compelling Super Bowl advertising spots. The Pets.com Sock Puppet is the latest creation in a menagerie of popular advertising creatures designed by ad agency TBWA/Chiat/Day.
