'Tar wars'

Article Abstract:

Doctor Morton Levin of the Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo, a state cancer research and treatment center, published in 1950 the first major US study definitively linking smoking to lung cancer. As a result cigarette manufacturers responded by engaging in 'tar wars', the advertising campaigns aimed at convincing consumers that their filter cigarettes offered better protection from tar and nicotine than the competition.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention revealed that in the year 2003 some 2,900 Americans aged 19 and under were killed by firearms. Morna Murray, studying juvenile-justice issues for the ChildrenEs Defense Fund feels that the adults, and not the children, are responsible for such killings.

Are there clones among us?

Many scientists believe that a dozen human clones already exist among us. Up till now no one has produced any scientific evidence, like a DNA test, to prove about the existence of a human clone.
