Tom E. Lewis becomes the Aboriginal teenage star of 'The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith'. After leaving his home in the Northern Territory for Melbourne and disconnecting from his people, he has made a come back in the entertainment industry. His latest role is the most challenging to date, playing Shakespeare's Othello, with the Darwin Theatre Group.

The dream catchers

The Top End's mud crabbers consist of a group Vietnamese people, who are responsible for providing most of the world's mud crabs and subject their life to endless hardships, risks and constantly defy death. They have set up a makeshift riverside village and the grief of losing the people close to them is kept on hold while working.

Stomping ground

Article Abstract:

Aboriginal tribes of Northern Territory have history of bloodshed and violence and the animosity between tribal gangs is still common. Darwin, the main city of Northern Territory also faces this violence as some communities suffer because of this violence but it never gets mentioned in the media as bloodshed is kept out of view.
