Women between the ages of 18 and 34 are becoming an increasingly large segment of the population that uses video games for recreation. In 1992 almost 100% of all players were male and under 18. Sony Corp reported in 1999 that 50% of its PlayStation users are between 18 and 34 and 15% are women.
