The high price of yes: there are no precedents for the breaking up of Canada

The passage of the referendum calling for the secession of Quebec from the rest of Canada will cause enormous economic, political and monetary problems. A narrow victory could cause political disruption in Quebec. The separation will impact the dollar, foreign investment and trade almost immediately.
