The people of Canada are looking for new leadership and the candidate who represents authentic change will probably win. Kim Campbell is the likely winner because she is seen as an outsider since she is a woman and from British Columbia. Both candidates have promised to balance the budget.

Kim Campbell's convincing convictions

Article Abstract:

Campbell convinced many of the Progressive Conservative Party politicians that she would have a better chance of staying in power than opponent Jean Charest. The older party members overcame their reluctance to vote for a woman because they realized she appealed to more of the electorate.

Article Abstract:

A Progressive Conservative Party convention is scheduled for Apr 28, 1995, in Hull, Quebec, but so far only 500 out of a possible 4,300 delegates have agreed to attend. The party is having serious leadership and financial problems and may fold if it does not generate more interest.
