Turkish immigrants are fighting back against the violence and prejudice that they have endured in Germany. Turks in Solingen, Germany, rioted for four nights after the murder of five Turkish women. France, England and other European countries are also experiencing ethnic tension.

The rise of rightist groups in Germany is attributed to the social tensions felt by residents since West and East Germany merged. The increase in attacks on immigrants and others is one way in which people have responded to the tension.
