The new pope has strong views on other forms of Christianity, US politics, other religions, contraception, sexual abuse scandals, homosexuality, women as priests and relations with the Muslim world.

Environmental experts feel that time is running short to replenish the marshes with fresh wildlife, which used to supply two thirds of fish and 40% of the shrimps caught of Kuwait.
