U.S. Issues Safety Rules to Protect Food Against Mad Cow Disease

Article Abstract:

The USDA is taking appropriate steps to insure that the country's meat supply is protected from the new outbreak of mad cow disease. An even greater problem is evolving from countries that do not want to import US beef. US officials, however, believe that are preventing meat parts that should not b e processed with safe beef products.

Problems May Send Many Patients Back To Age-Old Aspirin

Article Abstract:

After the painkiller Vioxx was taken off the market in September, many arthritis patients switched to Celebrex or Bextra, two other Cox-2 inhibitors. Now that studies show that all three medications may seriously increase the risk of heart disease, doctors are recommending ibuprofen and aspirin.
