U.S. dollar loses ground against euro

Bank of Nova Scotia economists said that investors throughout the world are concerned that declining interest rates in the United States will harm the global economy. Investors are withdrawing from the U.S. dollar over concerns that a weak dollar is central to the U.S. economic recovery.

Condo boom fuels housing starts

Article Abstract:

Canada posted a rise of 34.5% in housing starts for the February 2003 period. This was caused by a boom in condominium construction in southern Ontario. Housing starts rose to 246,000 units in the month. However, experts raised concerns over a condominium bubble in Toronto.
