Fair trade labeling: Trade justice movement

Article Abstract:

Globalization and growth of free trade have resulted in an inequality in international trade that is disadvantageous to developing countries. Fair trade activists are increasingly lobbying that global trade reform and trade justice have to be implemented in order to empower small farmers and alleviate poverty.

Fair trade labeling: Outlook: Growth potential

Article Abstract:

The American fair trade market growth depends on several factors including the incorporation of large coffee farms in the system and the limited demand for fair trade products. Informed choices of small farmers leading them to alternate avenues of trade might also affect the growth of the fair trade market.
