Retail e-commerce employees are trekking back to the bricks-and-mortar retail world in a hurry. Several prominent e-tailers are facing make-or- break holidays. Some are hanging on in hopes of a strong holiday but many may see slow sales or their last holidays. A slew of dot-com deaths and consolidation is expected in Jan and Feb 2001 since many e-tailers are lacking in sufficient funding.
