E-tailers turn Net profits

Article Abstract:

A number of Internet startups have managed to survive and their sales are beginning to increase. The success of these so-called dot-com companies appears to lie in an adherence to basic business tenets. Some of these tenets include a solid business plan, a focus on the company mission as well as frugality and judicious spending. These business precepts also include being smart in the choice of products/services to be sold, use of outside contractors to store and ship inventory and the sale of higher- margin merchandise.
