Walshes to fight asset freeze

Article Abstract:

David and Jeanette Walsh, who founded Bre-X Minerals Ltd., have filed a motion in the Bahamas Supreme Court to eliminate an injunction which froze their assets and will force them to disclose their financial properties. The injunction also provided that the couple only get an allowance of US$3,000 a week for living expenses. The injunction was granted at the request of Deloitte & Touche Inc., which is handling the Bre-X bankruptcy. Deloitte wants the injunction to stay as it waits the result of a lawsuit it filed in Canada on behalf of investors against some former Bre-X executives, including the couple.
