When VC stands for 'very crafty'

Article Abstract:

Draper Fisher Jurvetson founder Tim Draper has survived the downward slide being experienced mostly by dot-com companies. Unlike other venture capitalists, Draper is willing to bet on people who win his confidence, even if he is less sure about the technology or business plan. The end game for him comes when a company that he invested in goes public or is acquired by another company. The enables Draper Fisher Jurvetson to distribute the profits from the investments back to those who put money into the fund.

The airplanes will act as satellites, and anyone with a plate-size antenna and is within a 75-mile radius could bounce signals off the planes down to ground stations that link to the Net. Angel Technologies has successfully conducted a flight test on Sept. 22, 1998.
