When you read to a child, everybody wins

Executive Arthur Tannenbaum founded Everybody Wins in 1989 as a means to involve adults in the education of children. Adult volunteers read to children one hour each week during lunch hour. Tannenbaum encourages parents, companies, schools and even congressmen to join the program.

Law professor Edgar Cahn founded the organization Time Dollar in 1983, as a way for people to exchange volunteer services. Members receive a credit for each hour of donated time, which can then be redeemed for other services. The group has 20,000 members in 38 states.
