Will the Fed Stick to Its Plan On Low Rates?

Article Abstract:

The Federal Reserve Board plans to retain its short-term interest rate of 1% for banks which loan to each other in overnight transactions. The Board is keeping the rate at its current level despite various signs of economic growth because it wants to see an increase in jobs and a further decrease in deflation, or lowered prices, before it acts to limit any indications of inflation.
