Article Abstract:

The importance of keeping private funds separate from loan accounts used for income producing purposes is emphasized as the tax office views each redraw as a new borrowed funds which cannot be traced to the extra repayments that may have been paid. Taxpayers are not allowed to deduct taxes on interests when redrawn funds are used for private purposes and they are allowed to claim only interest on the original reduced loan amount.

Share buyback has become popular with the large economic companies for its benefit of being tax effective. Companies like Telstra and Foster's used the process of buybacks where shareholders were offered to sell some or all the shares within a specific price range.

Article Abstract:

Federal government's policy to encourage entrepreneurship in the country is discussed. The national government is offering a 25% tax offset to entrepreneurs. The reason for introducing this scheme was to encourage small businesses in the country.
