Off beat: hot spots for cool campus fun

Article Abstract:

One of the best college campus bargains in the autumn is a visit to Duke University and the University of North Carolina (UNC), the Durham-Chapel Hill axis of North Carolina. The campuses are only 20 minutes apart. Many traditions can be found such as juicy Carolina barbecue, blazing tree foliage, and country stores. Chapel Hill is the home of UNC and is small, electric and manageable. Durham, Duke's home, has some of the area's best restaurants.

A sneak peek at springtime

Article Abstract:

Spring is a good season to visit four of Georgia's barrier islands: Jekyll Island, St. Simons Island, Little St. Simons Island, and Cumberland Island. There is much plant and animal life at this time, but without the crowds of the summer. Some islands feature old resort hotels, and there are ferries connecting the islands.
