Article Abstract:

The Newton-Raphson method is a technique of using successive approximations to arrive at a solution for mathematical problems with analytical solutions in finite steps. The use of this method in load-flow calculations in electrical grid operations, for better grid dependence and useful re-establishment after system disturbances, is discussed.
