Obstacles to investment

Article Abstract:

Investment in power sector infrastructure is plagued by various drawbacks some of which have their roots in the electric utility regulatory system. Various regulatory provisions related to power sector that prevent investment therein are discussed. The adverse effects of inadequate investment in power sector infrastructure are also discussed and the measures that could avert such crisis are also examined.
