The second nuclear era

Article Abstract:

The future of nuclear energy depends on advances in management, technology, laws and public acceptance. The First Nuclear era showed the technical feasibility of nuclear power which the public accepted at first but showed resistance later due to potential risks. The Second Nuclear era hopes to produce the economic and social benefits that nuclear energy was supposed to bring. The nuclear reactors of the future are now being designed and they promise to be cheaper and better than previous reactors.
