Careers in pharmacology: an Australian perspective

Article Abstract:

Pharmacology courses in Australia are required subjects for students studying science, medicine, pharmacy, dentistry and veterinary medicine. Meanwhile, graduates of pharmacology can expect to find careers in the pharmaceutical industry, government agencies such as the Community Services and Health Dept. and research in academic institutions. Careers in clinical pharmacology: present status and future academic perspectives in Japan

Article Abstract:

Japan still lacks an adequate supply of clinical pharmacologists despite the high demand for these specialists in a country that has a large market for pharmaceutical products. Pharmacology subjects are part of training in medicine, but few hospitals can offer advanced studies in clinical pharmacology and therapeutics. Japan has relied on US-trained pharmacologists for its needs.
