Merck KGaA of Darmstadt, Germany, and Praxair Inc. of the US explain the termination of their electronic chemicals cooperation with changed strategic orientations of the two companies. Two years ago the two companies agreed upon cooperation in the development, sales and marketing of high-purity gases and chemicals as well as equipment and services for the semiconductor industry.
